Student Facilities

Our 11-acre site is in a beautiful setting experiencing the world-famous You are able to Minster across the town surfaces. Initially designed around a quadrangle in 1841, You are able to St John's earliest structures present an uplifting frontage to the university. More recent structures added over the past svereal years offer a wonderful contrast and consist of De Greyish Court and the Features Studying Centre which homes the collection, IT features, information technology lab and today's session cinema.

The Foss Developing homes our activities area, a structure lab, a bio-mechanics lab, a mindset lab, a biomedical sciences laboratories, a fitness package, physiotherapy laboratories and general educating areas.

Other features add a dance studio room, dilemma studio room, music areas (both realistic and technical), TV and film plants, modifying packages and devoted art and design companies.

There are several catering sites on university and the Students' Partnership has a bar, café, store and workplaces on campus

2016 will see the moving and development of the Students' Partnership. The new building will contain a bar/event space, large first-floor social/work position, reception desk, toilet features, meeting areas and workplaces for sabbatical authorities and the Students’ Partnership administration group.

Disability Services

The Impairment Support Team provides support for individuals on a short-term or ongoing basis. For example, they will help you if you need particular technological devices, analysis abilities support, guidance, collection support, a signer or note-taker. This also includes:

Equipment – such as dictaphones, laptop computers and professional reading and composing software.
Non-medical assistants – observe takers, educational guides, support workers, analysis abilities college tuition, collection support.
Liaison with educational ability, a longer period and/or special preparations for examinations and tests, consumables such as a photocopying/book allowance, help with DSA-funded devices.
Liaison with Housing Services about any particular specifications.

Students' Union

A well-developed and managed Students' Partnership provides many activities, enjoyment, trips and possibilities for individuals to make new friends.
The Students' Partnership has around 45 different groups and cultures to select from ranging from playing Football to Radio DJ-ing.

The union runs several commercial solutions, including the store, internet café, bar and a good and exciting array of entertainments.

The group in the Scholar's Partnership aim to provide a the very best enjoyment program in a secure, helpful environment that can offer something for everyone at value for money.

Availability of Part-Time Work

York has plenty of stores, bars, bars and restaurants where a lot of learners discover part-time perform while learning.

Recent/Prospective New Builds

In 2016, a new activities center will be completed at the new Nestlé Rowntree Park activities facility.
2016 will also see the moving and development of the Students' Partnership.
We are currently growing the main Holgate Dining position, due to finish in Goal 2016.
